An alumnus of New England Culinary Institute, Michelle Lunde has been in the pastry and restaurant business since 1995, and has been creating custom cakes and desserts for more than 13 years. She has held positions at the prestigious Harbor Court at the InterContinental Hotel & Resort, a four-star, four-diamond property in Baltimore, Maryland, and at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Montpelier, Vermont. She opened her own retail pastry shop in 2006 after moving to Barre with her husband Ken.

Chef Michelle is a preferred wedding cake provider for such well-regarded venues as Sugarbush Mountain Resort,  the Inn at the Round Barn Farm, and Millstone Hill Lodge. She was the recipient of the 2007 Young Entrepreneur Award given by the Vermont Small Business Development Center.

She especially enjoys  working with clients to make special occasions deliciously memorable, through the creation of uniquely designed custom wedding cakes and all-occasion cakes. Her creations have represented the Eiffel tour, Noah’s ark, Disney characters, guitars, corvettes, soccer balls and even flip flops—and she always open to new challenges!
